The vulnerability is due to insufficient protection of static credentials in the affected software. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by viewing source code. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to view static credentials, which the attacker could use to carry out further attacks. Cisco has released software updates that address this vulnerability. There are no workarounds that address this vulnerability. Workarounds o There are no workarounds that address this vulnerability. Fixed Software o Cisco has released free software updates that address the vulnerability described in this advisory. Customers may only install and expect support for software versions and feature sets for which they have purchased a license.
